Description The University of Wisconsin Armory and Gymnasium in Madison (1894). The Red Gym was the site of the 1904 Wisconsin Republican Convention, where Robert M. La Follette's Progessive Party first saw its rise in Wisconsin politics. La Follette would later run for president on the strength of the Progressive Party.
