WELCOME TO SAN FRANCISCO... Lieutenant General Eugene P. Forrester, center-foreground, Commanding General, U.S. Army, welcomes Major General Fortunato U. Abat, right-foreground, Commanding General, Philippine Army, on General Abat's arrival in San Francisco Sunday, December 3. During the Philippine General's visit to the area, he received briefings on Sixth Army and the California National Guard. During his 11 day visit to the United States as guest of the Army Chief of Staff, General Abat will visit several Army installations throughout the country. At left is Mrs. Abat.
