Description
English: The Valaste waterfall ( Valaste juga in Estonian) near the town of Ontika, Ida-Viru county, northeastern Estonia. The rocks exposed here comprise a succession of Upper Cambrian claystone and sandstone, as well as Lower Ordovician phosphoritic and glauconitic sandstone, mudstone and (on top) limestone. [1]
Deutsch: Der Valaste-Wasserfall ( Valaste juga auf Estnisch) nahe dem Städtchen Ontika im Kreis Ida-Viru im Nordosten Estlands. Die hier aufgeschlossenen Gesteine umfassen eine Abfolge von oberkambrischen Tonsteinen und Sandsteinen gefolgt von unterordovizischen phosphoritischen und glaukonitischen Sandsteinen und tonreichen Gesteinen sowie (obenauf) Kalksteinen. [1]
