English: Launching of West Ekonk (American Freighter, 1918)

The August 1918 cover of Pacific Marine Review featured a photograph of the launching of West Ekonk at the Skinner & Eddy Corporation shipyard on 22 June 1918.

Delivered by Skinner & Eddy on 13 July 1918, she was placed in commission the same day as USS West Ekonk (ID # 3313). The ship was returned to the U.S. Shipping Board on 9 April 1919.

She later became British merchant ship SS Empire Wildebeeste and was sunk during World War II.
