Summary

Description
English: Critical stages of winter wheat according to BBCH (Lancashire et al., 1991) and their deviations from the Zadok’s scale (in brackets). The spacing between the stages follows calendar time for the temperate climate of Switzerland (sowing in November, harvest mid-July). The original file is a layered tiff with separate layers for each individual plant. The figure is explained in more detail in Hund, Andreas, Lukas Kronenberg, Jonas Anderegg, Kang Yu, and Achim Walter. 2019. “Non-Invasive Field Phenotyping of Cereal Development.” In Advances in Breeding Techniques for Cereal Crops, edited by Frank Ordon and Wolfgang Friedt, 249–92.
