Summary

Description
English: Whitechapel station, Low Level This is the gloomy but atmospheric East London line station, well off the London tourist circuit! An A60 train (these were built for the leafy outer-suburban Metropolitan Line!) waits with a service for New Cross Gate. On its journey it will pass through Marc Brunel's Thames Tunnel - the first tunnel under the Thames in London, and the first submarine tunnel in the world).
