Summary
Description Wide view of former railway stopping place, Coonamia, near Port Pirie, South Australia, Jan 2020 (John Gordon).jpg |
English:
View of site of former railway stopping place at Coonamia, near Port Pirie, South Australia, in January 2020. On the left is the Adelaide – Port Augusta railway line. The small bituminised car park and its low fence are visible on the right; a "Coonamia" sign is at the centre. All other previous infrastructure has been removed after the locality ceased to be an "on request" stopping place for interstate trains in the 2010s; no trains stop there now. The circular, cone-roofed building is not related to the former stopping place; it houses railway signalling and telecommunication equipment.
