Description
English: The railway traction substation at Woburn railway station in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. This substation was built c.2009-10 and converts 11,000-volt 50Hz AC power from Wellington Electriciy's local distribution network to 1500/1600-volt DC to supply the Wellington electrified railway lines. The connection to the down main and loop overheads can been seen to the left.
