Description
English: The Women of World War II Memorial Standing just up from the Cenotaph in Whitehall this memorial to the women lost in the Second World War was unveiled by the Queen on 9 July 2005. The memorial which is 22 feet high and made of bronze was designed in Braintree in Essex by the sculptor John Mills. See: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4667705.stm
