Summary
Description Woody plant encroachment and thinned land near the Omatako Mountains in Namibia.jpg |
Afrikaans:
Erge houtagtige plantindringing belemmer etlike ekostelselfunksies in Namibië. Op die land op beeld is bosse selektief geoes om 'n meer stabiele balans tussen houtagtige plante en grasse te skep. Springbokke wei hier tussen die oorblywende bosse.
English:
Severe woody plant encroachment hampers several ecosystem functions in Namibia. On the land visible in the picture, bushes were selectively harvested in order to create a more stable balanced between woody plants and grasses. Sprinbok are seen grazing between the remaining bushes.
