Этот самец бородатой неясыти остановился на пролёте на пару недель в Главном ботаническом саду им. Цицина в Москве. Всё это время бородач удерживал толпу из сотен зевак и охотников с трубами за пол-лимона. Умело манипулируя двуногими, у него получилось выловить множество чёрных мышей из окрестных зоомагазинов (даже слетая, белых он принципиально не брал). Объедаясь днём, он продолжал охотиться и по ночам. За время своих звёздных гастролей избавился от местного конкурента, краснокнижного мохноногого сычика, оставив только несколько его перьев.
