agitprop noun [ ˈadʒɪtprɒp ]

• political (originally communist) propaganda, especially in art or literature.

Origin: 1920s (originally the name of a department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union responsible for political propaganda): Russian, blend of agitacija ‘agitation’ and propaganda ‘propaganda’.
